TOURMAX INLET RUBBERS

It’s a common issue on many older bikes - the bike runs rough because the carburettor or throttle body rubbers have perished & cracked. This of course ruins the fuelling, as unregulated air is sucked into the cylinders weakening the mixture and causing erratic running.

A quick application of maintenance spray or brake cleaner often reveals the problem: the fluid is drawn into the cylinders through the cracks and the revs increase as it burns on the combustions stroke.
