They have long standing partnerships with the Ferrari F1 & Yamaha MotoGP teams and produce filters for road, off-road & race two-wheelers plus quads too, in addition to supplying the automotive & aeronautical markets. BMC manufacturers all its products in-house in Italy, using high levels of automation in modern manufacturing plants.
BMC filters are made from a single rubber frame to prevent leaks & breakage. An aluminium net treated with an epoxy solution resist gasoline vapours and oxidation. A 4-layer oiled cotton gauze gives a better air flow but removes any impurity larger than 7 microns. BMC filters are simple to clean & reuse time after time. This means that while the initial cost is more than a disposable filter, over time they will provide better filtration & higher performance at a lower overall cost. It also reduces waste and energy use in production.
For motorcycles, BMC offers two basic filter lines - road & race. The standard ‘red’ road filter uses all their hallmark design features. BMC road filters achieve an impressive 97,5% filtration efficiency at ISO5011 test but still gives wider filtering area, maximum air permeability and higher air flow passage.
BMC Race filters are for customers seeking higher engine output. Ideal for tuned bikes, these filters will allow the full benefit of other tuning measures and ECU mapping to be harnessed. BMC race air filters guarantee a higher air flow rate compared to the original paper filters used, minimum pressure loss and thus lead to a better performance of the engine. They are easily identifiable with a yellow line on the filtration area.
We also supply BMC universal individual air filters for direct mounting to the carburettor or throttle body. These are idea for track day bikes, race machines, modified or custom builds.
When it comes to service time, we have BMC air filter cleaner kits comprising of cleaning solution & filter oil, enabling maximum performance to be preserved over many years.
